Calling all Volunteers in the Bromley area
Careplus is a small local charity that provides a free volunteer support service to older people in the Borough of Bromley. The average age of the clients is 90 and they include both men and women who were in the forces. Many find it difficult to get out of the house and many are lonely. Volunteers can choose to help with light shopping, gardening, transport to medical appointments and/or befriending. Drivers are much in demand, and mileage expenses are paid. Volunteers can expect to be DBS checked and asked to provide 2 references before they start to visit a client.
