Battle of May Island - Centenary Commemoration Service

The Scottish Area of the RNA arranged the centenary commemoration of the Battle of May island, held on 31 January at Anstruther in Fife, in the presence of the Second Sea Lord, Vice Admiral /Sir Jonathan Woodcock and the Provost of Fife.

The RNA’s General Secretary, Captain Paul Quinn OBE RN, laid a wreath at the Church service and at the memorial to the 104 sailors who lost their lives in the tragedy, laying the wreath with Lady Woodcock whose great uncle lost his life on the submarine K4.
