Meetings We meet on the third Thursday of every month.
Meeting times 1930

The Frome branch of the Royal Naval Association is now over 60 years old and is working to maintain its membership levels against the current trend of declining service associations. Although a fair distance from the sea and naval ports, Frome has always supported the Royal Navy. This was demonstrated by its adoption of HMS/M Thunderbolt, formerly HMS/M Thetis back in February 1942. The branch annually organises and sponsors the hugely popular Royal Marines Band concerts held in the Frome Memorial Theatre. Funds that are raised by this event and others help us to donate monies to local and national service charities and allows us to sponsor events and individuals. The Trowbridge based Sea Cadets unit, TS Achilles, has been supported for many years by the branch helping towards the purchase of equipment from pulling boats to navigation charts as well as subsidising sea training trips. Many of the members are also very active in Frome's community and charity organisations from the Frome Memorial Theatre to Frome Hospital, Dr Barnardo's and sheltered accommodation. The branch has a varied programme throughout the year which is selected and organised by the whole membership. To give you some idea of the diversity in the branch you are invited to come along to a branch night and meet us. Venue for our meetings is the Frome Rugby Club, Gypsy Lane and commences at 7.30pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month followed by "Up Spirits" and tea or coffee.
